biography

Cassandra Hume is a proud founder of In Search of a Song Productions. Her first play, a one-woman show, The Kitchen Spanish Tango (2007), turned her half-Mexican restaurant blues into parody and song. Cassandra’s second full length play, The 7 Sins of a Body-Hating Food-Lover, lovingly tackled the voices of body image that must be laughed at someday.

Cassandra graduated with a BA in Theatre Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. New York Acting Theatre Credits include: Showing Out (Nuyorican Poets Cafe), Sweet Bird of Youth, and Fare Thee Well.  Regional Credits include: Deborah in From Door to Door (Broward Stage Door) Happy Journey to Trenton & Camden (Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and film credits include Arya.  She studies acting with Penny Templeton, and is grateful for her early ballet training at the Washington School of Ballet and all the fuel that provided.
